Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that results of any development work are fully utilised in Instrument activities.
- Executes assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including ENERGIA and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour, cost budgets and the project schedule targets.
- Liaises with the Process Engineering Department at the initial design investigation stage where equipment has a particular influence on process design philosophy, during the equipment selection stage and during project execution.
- Develops specification and prepare material requisitions for control systems, instruments, control valves and all other instruments.
- Inputs the required specification/process data into instrument index as per the defined structure and format.
- Prepares the Master Requisition Index and update and issue it on a regular basis.
- Reviews Suppliers’ quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Supplier.
- Assists in the preparation of Auxiliary Flow Diagrams as necessary.
- Establishes and maintains the filing system of project documents.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Principal Instrument Engineer.
- Maintains technical integrity.
- Delivers and supports of a strong HSE culture.
- Supports Management where required.
- Participates in relevant meetings, such as HAZOP, SIL, C&E, Design Reviews and PEER Reviews.
- Takes full cognisance of Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Liaises and interacts with other disciplines to ensure overall project goals are met.
- Utilises suitable technology to increase efficiency.
- Ensures all deliverables are aligned with company and client procedures and national standards.
- Keeps up to date with latest procedures, client requirements and legislation.
